WELCOME to the Bridge: a non-traditional worship community of the First
Presbyterian Church in Elkhart, Indiana.
Sunday mornings at 9:30, we gather downstairs in a cafe-like
worshiping atmosphere with dim lights, candles, comfortable seating, hot
coffee , and snacks. We’re a community where you can come as you are:
young or old, strong or weak, happy or sad, faithful or searching, tie
or tie-dyed T-shirt.
Our
worship is warm and interactive, touching all the senses with God’s
grace. Whether you sing or just listen, the band will move you. Wherever
you are on your spiritual journey, the message will reach you. Whatever
may be going on in your life, the community will support you.
We are more than a worship service; we are an open and accepting
community, seeking to live our faith together. No one will judge you
here: we understand and admit that we're all broken and searching to
live in the love of Jesus Christ. As we experience Christ’s love in
worship, we are sent inward – we offer classes and small groups to nourish spiritual growth. We are also sent outward,
serving others -- after all, isn't that what God wants us to do: Seek
out those in need everywhere?
